Epic fail

Given my job (dialup and DSL support) I have developed a unique ability. I am able to let people know just how dumb they are without offending them.

This can be tricky when a call goes a lil something like...
me: "Thank you for calling how may I help you"
cust: "Internet!"
me: "Did you have some questions about your service?"
thinking to myself oO(YES! INTERNET GOOD! Craig want give you internet RAWR!)
cust: "It doesn't work"
me: "What doesn't work and what error do you get?"
cust: "When I try the Internet it says it doesn't work."
me: "Ok, well if you are on a cell phone we can test it out and see what the exact error message
says"
cust: "I am on cell phone because my home phone got turned off"
me: "......." /facepalm
cust: "OOOOO shit"

That is just one example of what I deal with every shift. I always feel bad when they can't figure out on their own how dumb they are being, then I have to explain it and that is always akward from both ends. These are known as a "fail" or in the latter case "epic fail" and both lead to a /facepalm.
